What is the Detroit Scholarship Fund?
The Detroit Scholarship Fund (DSF), administered by the Detroit Regional Chamber, ensures that any Detroit-resident student graduating in the spring of 2016 from a high school in the city of Detroit will have a tuition-free path to an associate degree or technical certificate* at any one of five participating community colleges.
In 2011, Governor Rick Snyder announced his intention to provide Detroit high school graduates with a tuition-free path to an associate degree or technical certificate. The Detroit Regional Chamber is now pleased to administer the Detroit Scholarship Fund to fulfill the Governor’s pledge.
*Students should check with their school to ensure that their desired degree or technical certificate is Pell-eligible. Programs that are not Pell-eligible will not be covered by the Detroit Scholarship Fund.
